Happy Belated Holidays! My Holiday was well spent reading and spending time with my family. I got some clothes for Harlaxton, a camera, socks (which you can never have too much of) and the first two books of the Hunger Games Trilogy. I've already read the first, and will begin on the second shortly.
Now that I've gotten clothes and other things I'll need for the next 6 months I have begun to pack...here is what my suitcase looks like right now.
This isn't even half of the stuff I need to pack! Luckily, I bought Space Bags AND there is more space than you'd think when I actually use proper packing etiquette.
Tonight was fun, I got to play nertz with some of my sorority sisters and catch up because one of them has just gotten back after studying abroad in Spain. This just makes me even more anxious to leave!
I can't believe I'm less than a week away from leaving for ENGLAND!

17 Days!
I have 17 days until I leave for Harlaxton! I am excited and in disbelief. I have a list of a million things (well more like a few hundred) that I need to do before I leave.
My grandma is leaving in two days to visit my Aunt and her family in London, so my family decided we'd celebrate Christmas with Grandma by opening presents from her and giving her presents. I got a passport cover and luggage tag along with...£20! I have a feeling this is going to be a good year.
Time is flying and I am amazed at how quickly my trip is arriving. I'm trying to enjoy my time and at home and the last few days I have with friends before I leave for a new (temporary) home and meet new friends. I've taken some pictures from my sorority big sis' album she made while she was studying at Harlaxton last year...thanks Mere!

Finals and Final Details!
Well I just finished 1 out of 3 finals for my Fall Semester! My reward? A packet with all of the final details about Harlaxton!!!! This packet includes my immigration paper, the ins and outs of arrival to Heathrow and traveling, ways to keep in touch with my family, how to handle money (which by the way I should probably let my parents see this because my debit card expires half way through my stay), a packing list, and other great information.
I still feel as if this is just a dream and I never want to wake up! I'm still counting down...26 days!

33 Days
I can't believe it! Its 33 days until I leave for Harlaxton College! I've been thinking about all the fun I will have and all the people I will meet along the way. I begin my journey on January 3, 2012 at noon and arrive in Heathrow Airport on the 4th at 9am. I will spend about two days with my Aunt Tammy and her family before I head back to Heathrow and meet up with the rest of the Harlaxton students I will be spending four months studying with.
I'm going to be studying at Harlaxton College, located near the town of Grantham.
As you can tell from the picture...I'll be living and studying in a castle. Harlaxton is the British campus of University of Evansville in Indiana.
I've been looking at all the trips Harlaxton will be offering for the students next semester and I've decided I will be taking the Scotland and Paris trips. I might also take the Ireland trip, but I may just try to take that one myself. I will definitely try to go outside of the UK and make my way to Germany, Poland, Spain and Denmark.
