EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND/DURHAM, ENGLAND
Day 1: We jumped on the bus bright and early at 8am...drove to the Scotland Border, then to Edinburgh by 2:30.
Once we settled into our hotel we made our way to Edinburgh Castle, and the Royal Mile. We didn't have enough time to see the Castle so we just walked down the Royal Mile and found a great place to eat some Haggis (for cheap) with some great music.
Day Two: We went to bed early and woke up at 8 to get ready and seize the day! We hopped on a bus tour and rode around Edinburgh until 10 when we hopped off and got some pictures in a graveyard. (my idea) Then Lauren and I found a market, and Julie and Ellie found a Starbucks. Haha. Then we headed up to our Whiskey tour that was at 12:30 (learned alot about whiskey) and afterwards headed back down to the market for lunch. After lunch, Lauren and I high-tailed it back to our hotel and THEN back to Edinburgh Castle in about 30 minutes...which I may say is pretty impressive because the hills here are killer! We toured the Castle and got some great pictures then hopped back onto the tour bus and went to Carlton Hill for sunset. After that we grabbed dinner at the Elephant House (Harry Potter fans would be familiar with this place) and Julie and I went on a Ghost tour into the Vaults of Edinburgh...very scary. Then we stopped by a bar to calm our nerves...haha.
Scottish Parliament
One of my favorite pictures overall
My castle...no big deal (Edinburgh Castle)
William Wallace...or Charlies Angels (p.s. he was fundraising for Leukemia Patients, I had to give in)
Worlds Largest Whiskey Collection
Day Three: We woke up and were on the bus by 9 am. First we headed to Hadrians Wall...not much of a wall. It was built by the Romans and was supposedly 73 miles long, 15 feet high and 10 feet deep. We didn't see any of that. haha We saw some Roman ruins and froze our butts off. Then we headed to Durham, England to see the Durham Cathedral. Apparently, some scenes from Harry Potter were filmed in the court yard area...I'll let some Harry Potter fans make that decision for themselves.
Next to the bottom of a statue of a goddess...in the museum of Hadrian's Wall

Now I am going to do some homework...I mean I DID do some homework on the bus, I'm just going to make sure its perfect. Haha. Overall, Scotland was amazing, the hills were killer, my thighs and butt got a workout, I laughed alot and I can mark this experience successful.
The ghost hunting pictures must have been too scary to post. I have to say I'm pretty jealous.
