Hannah's Bookbag & Suitcase: HARLAXTON!

I'm finally here! I can't believe it...well I can but nonetheless its amazing. I'm having a great time hanging out with my roommate, meeting people and hanging out with my Baker friends. Its the third day here and I am loving every minute of it.

When we drove up to the Manor on Friday we were in awe. I literally dropped my jaw and could barely find words to describe this place. We got our room assignments and my friend Anna and I were in the Carriage house, about a minute walk from the Manor. I met my roommate for the semester, Katy Nash. She's from Kentucky, and she's pretty awesome. We got to meet our British Studies Seminar class and drink wine wiht our professor. That night, some of us went out and discovered a pub in town and made friends with the owner and some bartenders. We decided that the pub, Goose, will be our new hangout. Yesterday we had some orientation seminars and were able to go into Grantham to go shopping or explore the town. Last night we went to Goose and headed out into Grantham and found a small club called Barcode and met some locals there and hung out and danced.
